Cat trees, Artichokes and weddings

I came home on Friday to find a ready to pick beautiful artichoke.
It's special because this plant wasn't supposed to produce for another year!

Saturday I bought a salad spinner and took a nap..not exactly photo worthy stuff....I know what you're thinking...and yes I do think that artichokes are photo worthy.

In the evening we attended a wedding...here are some pics from that

Phoenix rising

Hey we're back from another adventure in BC.
There is a lot to tell but I prefer to let the photos speak for themselves.
If you want words you'll have to call me or read Richard's story in the fall.

Here are the Rockies. Looking east towards Clagary

We stayed 2 nights at the St. Eugene Mission Resort. It's an old residential school
learn more about residential schools here: "http://archives.cbc.ca/IDD-1-70-692/disasters_tragedies/residential_schools/"

The Mission resort was a true thing of beauty and historical importance

Cruel to be kind

Well mother nature doesn't like Garage Sales...or maybe she just doesn't really care that much if we sell our crap or not.

It's been quite a wet year already, very unusual. But the weather man sez...it's going to be hot hot hot and dry for the next little while. We'll see I guess.
here are some pictures from the ill-fated garage sale

I am told that they got pretty good at throwing the tarps on when the drops came....I was out getting my hair cut. Some appointments just can't be missed

Well on the up side all this moisture is really helping to create that lush jungle look.
