Hi, for a while now I've been living Gluten free because of Celiac Disease. It makes eating out complicated and attending dinner parties or potlucks tricky. I have no trouble finding many great things to eat and for the last little while I've been visiting a wonderful blog called Gluten Free Goddess. I forget who first turned me on to it but besides being a wealth of information on living Gluten free, it allows those of us who live with restrictions to feel a great sense of freedom with food without deprivation. One of the best things about these recipes is that you won't feel compelled to apologize for the unfamiliar flavors to family and friends who eat wheat because you've had to make some sort of near beer version of a traditional dish – this food will make you want to eat rice noodles. So, I thought it would be a good idea to share some of the wonderfully tasty recipes I have tried from that blog and others like it. Hope you will find inspiration to try something new!

Ghost of Christmas present (pun intended)
This time of year I usually find a way to give the gift of craft. Last year I made dolls, hand stenciled table runners and some unique stuffed reptiles made out of old sweaters (you should try that one it's fun!) This year I made a craft monster that turned against me and almost ate my face off.

So, I a have abandoned the project and have gone back to the drawing board. The problem isn't with the idea it's the execution. In this case I forgot the one rule that will ensure your success on any craft project KEEP IT SIMPLE. I hope to return after a bit of a rest with a glorious new thing worthy of giving away.

It Sold!
And I haven't a photo of the event to share.
The event went perfectly, we had more people there than we expected and we raised over 18 thousand for scholarships (after we pay our bills it will be a little less)
Hopefully I can scrounge up some photos of the evening.
I'm off to Richard's Jazz band concert "Big Band Night".
Here's some photos of the concert from Dave cell phone.
Is forgetting to bring your camera to your husband's concert the laymans version of forgetting to thank him after you've won an academy award?
